NATIONAL TRAIN DAY IS MAY 11

"Trains matter" is the theme for the sixth annual National Train Day, set for Saturday, May 11, which celebrates the importance of trains to towns across America. Amtrak notes more than 200 communities are expected to host events at local train stations, railroad museums and other locations. Event offerings vary to include train equipment displays, family-friendly activities and local dignitaries.
