CARNIVAL REPORTS BOOKING RECORD

They are no doubt popping some champagne over at Carnival with the news that "Carnival Cruise Lines set a one-week reservations record, taking gross bookings for 187,283 guests between Jan. 28-Feb. 3, 2013." Carnival President and CEO Gerry Cahill cited several factors, including the $500 million Fun Ship 2.0 product enhancement initiative and recent marketing activities, such as the Vacation Awesome-ation sale and prize giveaway and the upcoming debut of Carnival Sunshine. -- Gerry
