TAKE A CRUISE ON THE 'MANATEE QUEEN'

Manatee Queen at the dock (Photos: Cruising Squared)
If you happen to be the Jupiter, Fl. area, and looking to spent a pleasant few hours cruising on the Intracoastal, be sure and check out the Manatee Queen. Pam and I hopped aboard one recent weekend and took in the estates of the rich and famous along Jupiter Island, or as they say in The Philadelphia Story, we got to watch "the privileged class enjoying their privileges."

Our captain was both knowledgeable and engaging, and even let the little ones have a turn at the wheel. You can buy snacks and soft drinks for $1. Tickets are $26 and they are daily departures, including sunset tours on selected dates. It departs from the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant, within sight of the famous red lighthouse. Check their website for all the details. -- Gerry
