NEW AMTRAK VACATIONS GUIDE AVAILABLE

Thinking about a train trip and want some ideas on where to go? Amtrak Vacations has released their new brochure for 2013-2014 that features 22 new vacation packages that include escorted rail journeys, independent rail journeys, rail getaways and -- the best of both world -- a new rail and sail program. They note the number of departure dates for the escorted rail journeys has doubled. 

 Using the Amtrak Vacations Early Booking Discount, travelers can save up to $600 per couple for 2013 Escorted Rail Journeys or up to $300 per couple for 2013 Independent Rail Journeys booked by December 31, 2012. You can order a brochure online at AmtrakVacations.com. -- Gerry

    Thanks for sharing! This is great for people, like myself, who have a fear of flying. I would choose taking the train in the US over flying any day! Now you can actually travel the whole United States via train, its wonderful!
